Bear Creek Church of the Brethren is thankful for and encourages the presence of children in worship. As a congregation, we are aware of the responsibility entrusted to us for the spiritual welfare of our children, helping them to grow in faith and love.

Ministering to children at home

• Practice praying the Lord's Prayer with your children.
• Take turns offering a prayer of thanks before meals.
• Have family devotions time (Bible readings, story sharing, prayers, etc.) on a regular basis. Allow children to share in leadership.
• Name joys and concerns before bedtime and offer a prayer.
• Look at and discuss papers brought home from Sunday School.
• Discuss and ask the children their opinions, feelings, impressions, etc. of Sunday School, Worship, and/or Children's Church.

The Lord's Prayer
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed
be thy name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive our debts
as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, the power,
and the glory, forever.
Amen.
